The Human Rights Gallery uses exhibits, publications, performances, films, readings, and symposia, to present the work of documentary artists whose visions convey the interdependence of human life, enhance our awareness of diversity, and encourage us to create a culture of compassion, tolerance, and dialogue.
This program includes the following:
• Traveling Exhibits and related education-outreach materials designed to reach the general public and students of all ages in order to explore the visions of documentary artists and human rights activists,
• Workshops and Master Classes conducted by nationally and internationally acclaimed documentary artists and human-rights activists geared to explore the aims of their work, and to engage the general public in exploring the goals of Human Rights education,
• School Tours aimed at exploring the history of civil and human rights activity in the United States and across the world, and programs that invite students to examine bias and to build developmental skills that foster a culture of empathy, inclusiveness and dialogue,
• Workshops For Community Groups And Businesses designed to build cohesive neighborhoods and productive workforces by promoting the values of dialogue, tolerance, and respect for diversity.
